End of Life Care

As pet parents, one of the hardest decisions we may face is knowing when it's time to say goodbye to our cherished companions. We understand the pain, grief, and difficulty that come with this process. Knowing the end-of-life care options available can help you make the best decision for your pet when the time comes. At [practice:practice_name] our compassionate and caring staff is here to offer support and guidance during this emotionally challenging time.

When is the right time?

We know how difficult it is to make the decision to euthanize your pet. Our veterinarians will share with you your pet’s treatment options and prognosis to help you make the best choice for your family. It is also helpful to utilize a Quality of Life Scale to help determine how your pet is feeling as time goes on. See Quality of Life Scale.

Pet Cremation & Memorial Options

We work closely with Trusted Journey in Madison offering a variety of options for cremation and memorials.
Communal Cremation - Keeping the memory of your pet close to your heart, a communal cremation offers both peace of mind and solace. With communal cremation, your pet is gently placed into the crematory together with other pets. No remains are returned to you.

Private Cremation - Private cremation provides you with the opportunity to keep your pet’s cremated remains as a permanent and personal keepsake. When you choose private cremation, your treasured pet will be the only pet in the cremation chamber during the cremation process. When the cremation process is complete, we ensure that you receive only the cremated remains of your pet.

Memorial Options – Together with Trusted Journey we are able to offer a variety of items to memorialize your pet. Please ask a staff member for more information.
